1) Tell me about a time you took care of an extremely sick patient?

a) For any device you mention (CRRT, IABP) be sure you are able to explain how

the device works further

b) For any drips you mention (levophed, phenylephrine, propofol, dobutamine, etc)

be sure you know the receptor, physiologic effect, indications, and adverse

effects to monitor for

c) For whichever patient diagnosis you mention (cardiogenic shock, sepsis, etc) be

sure you can discuss the pathophysiology of that disease
